A split pipe empties a tank in minutes. We stop it on the phone, cut out the failed section, and replace it the same visit with the copper or plastic the house already uses. Burst pipes across London, £49 call-out and quoted on site before we start.
Turn the stopcock, open the cold taps to drain the system, and keep away from electrics. Then call. Our burst-pipe guide covers the first ten minutes.
What happens when we arrive
1
Isolate
Stopcock, or the nearest isolation valve, or the outside stop valve if the internal one has seized.
2
Cut out and replace
The split section removed and a new length fitted with the right joints. A frozen-then-burst pipe is checked along its whole length for other splits.
3
Refill and check
Water back on slowly, every joint checked under pressure, and a look at why it burst so it doesn’t happen again.
What's on the van
15mm, 22mm and 28mm copper and plastic
Push-fit and compression fittings
Pipe freezing kit for working on a live system
Isolation valves to add where there were none
Wet vac and dehumidifier for the aftermath
What it can and can't fix
Any water supply or heating pipe (we repair the pipe; we don’t work on the boiler). Pipes inside walls and under floors, with the smallest opening we can make and the plaster or boards left ready for making good.
Timing and price
Isolating is minutes. A repair is one to two hours, longer if the pipe is under a floor.
There are no prices on this page because the price depends on what we find and where. What we can promise is how it works: the call-out is £49, the engineer looks at the job and quotes it in front of you before touching anything, and the quote you agree is the price on the invoice. If we find something different from what you described, we tell you before continuing. The £49 call-out covers the visit and the diagnosis.
