Sounds familiar?

If you can turn the stopcock and the water stops, it can often wait until morning at the daytime price. If it can’t, call now; we’ll tell you honestly which it is.

What happens when we arrive

1

Stop the water

On the phone first: where the stopcock is, how to turn it, what to switch off. Then on site, isolate at the nearest valve or the street.
2

Make it safe

Cap, clamp or cut out the failed section so the water can go back on to the rest of the house tonight.
3

Fix it properly

The permanent repair the same visit wherever parts allow, from copper, plastic and fittings carried on the van.

What's on the van

What it can and can't fix

Any water pipe, tank, cylinder (cold side), tap, toilet or waste. We don’t touch gas, boilers or heating systems; if the leak is from a boiler or a radiator we’ll make it safe and tell you who to call.

Timing and price

Making safe is usually 30 minutes. A full repair depends on what failed and where; we’ll say before starting.

There are no prices on this page because the price depends on what we find and where. What we can promise is how it works: the call-out is £49, the engineer looks at the job and quotes it in front of you before touching anything, and the quote you agree is the price on the invoice. If we find something different from what you described, we tell you before continuing. The £49 call-out covers the visit and the diagnosis.

The call-out is £49 at any hour. The quote you agree on site is the price.
Under the kitchen sink, by the front door, under the stairs, or in a communal cupboard in a flat. Our guide has photos, and we’ll talk you through it.
Don’t force it. We can isolate at the outside stop valve in the pavement.
We’ll isolate the water to stop the damage. The boiler itself needs a Gas Safe engineer, and we’ll say so rather than pretend.
Yes. Tell us if there’s a concierge or a code.
Both wherever the parts are on the van, which they usually are.
If water is coming through a ceiling, a pipe has burst, you have no water or sewage is backing up, call now. For anything else, our guide to when a plumbing problem is an emergency helps you decide.

Water rising or coming through the ceiling right now?

Don’t fill in a form. Call, and an engineer will be on the road in minutes. We’ll talk you through the stopcock while they drive.
